Individuals must pass the required Plumber Certification examination, submit the required application and pay the required $151.90 fee. The examination consists of technical and general trade knowledge, code application knowledge for wastes and vents, and code application for water piping. The examination is based on the 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code with Washington State amendements. Individuals must also pass the Backflow specialty examinination.
