The purpose of the Qualified Elevator Inspector Supervisor certification is to ensure that Inspector Supervisors have demonstrated aptitude for leadership, communication and managing complaints along with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the applicable codes. These skills will assist the Inspector Supervisor in managing and training Inspectors and providing them with the knowledge and education to safeguard the public by confirming elevators, escalators, and other conveyances are code compliant and operating safely.
