Requirements

Program Coordinator for the M.S. in Health and the Public Interest and M.S. in Addiction Policy and Practice Programs, Graduate School of Arts & Sciences - Georgetown University.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining programs’ learning communities through recruitment of applicants, support of current students, and providing faculty and administrative support. The Program Coordinator is part of a matrix structure reporting to the Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs and the faculty program directors of the assigned academic program. The Program Coordinator is part of a team of Program Coordinators that collectively meet the needs of the 13 Interdisciplinary Studies Programs while having a specific program caseload.

Responsibilities include: outreach to prospective audiences, recruitment and admissions support to prospects and applicants, academic affairs & student services to enrolled students, general financial & human resources accountabilities, commitment to creating an equitable and diverse community, faculty support and general administrative operations for the program. Overall, the Program Coordinator, in coordination with the Faculty Director and Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs, is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintaining successful programs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prospect, Applicant & Student Support (Marketing, Outreach & Communications, Admissions & Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, and General Operations and Administration)

  • Faculty & Curriculum Support (Curriculum / Program Support and Faculty Hiring Support)

  • Other Duties as Assigned

Work Interactions

This position reports to the Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs and will work closely with the faculty program directors in the day-to-day operation and all functional areas within the Graduate School Dean’s Office. In addition, this position will work closely with faculty, prospective students, students, alumni, vendors/suppliers, industry connections, and many other audiences. The Program Coordinator will liaise with other Georgetown University offices such as Graduate Admissions, University Registrar, Office of Global Services, Main Campus Office of Academic Appointments, Student Financial Services and Financial Affairs and other academic units.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Appreciation of science and interdisciplinary perspectives in solving global health care issues

  • Commitment to student success as part of an equitable and diverse community

  • Exceptional communication skills in customer services, problem-solving, and mediation

  • Self-motivated; independent, organized, and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable

  • Technical aptitude and the ability to pick up new technology quickly

  • Experience managing multiple projects with multiple constituents and excellent time management

  • Understanding of appropriate and confidential communication, file management, and storage

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
