The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Certified Flight Instrument Instructor Rating (CFII), is a rating placed on a flight instructor certificate. The CFII Rating is required for flight instructors to provide instrument training for instrument ratings, or required instrument training for commercial pilot and airline transport pilot certificates. Candidates must meet all prerequisites and experience requirements. Candidates must pass a practical exam.
